NCOA is permitted with various National Forests and State Parks across NC, SC and TN.
We operate many of our climbing, rappelling, hiking and waterfall tours in Pisgah National Forest including popular areas like Linville Gorge (ie the Grand canyon of the east) and Table Rock. Our climbing courses also take place at various state parks like Crowders, Pilot and Stone. Another great spot we use for our large groups is Rocky Face Recreational area (those should be the state park links). More advanced climbing takes place in the Lake Lure area known as Rumbling Bald, Looking Glass, Big Rock SC, and few areas near Asheville.
Our sell out Spider Lily Paddle Tours take place at Landsford Canal State Park in SC. We have been operating there for 13 years! Great Park with a wonderful put in, restrooms and an amazing trail featuring railroad canal ruins! Not to mention the parks namesake the largest concentration of Spider Lilies in the world.
Our other river trips take place on the Toe River in Mitchell and Yancey County in North Carolina. We operate on both the North Toe and Toe right above where the Nolichucky River starts. These locations feature remote wilderness filled with whitewater and flatwater opportunities for our guests!
As far as destinations we have a lot of other places, we frequent but due to the new environment of places getting “loved to death” we as a company have chosen not to disclose them. Our other areas include several waterfalls, swimming holes and a few off the beaten path excursions. Our variety of locations makes us the perfect adventure tour company for a wider range of folks
